Due to more stringent monitoring of overboard discharges
from vessels throughout the world, it has been found that
existing bilge water separation systems are struggling to
cope.
We offer a
Primary Bilge Separation tank that can be
retrofitted to the engine room of existing vessels.
The tank has
been designed to be lowered through the engine room hatch and
installed during normal vessel operations.
The size can be modified to suit clients particular
requirements.
Rectangular
shaped tank with a capacity of approximately 1.9 cubic
metres.
Oil is removed
from the surface of the water through a manually operated
valve, internal weirs prevent the carry over of oil to the
outlet.
Bilge water is
heated via a thermostatically controlled, direct injection,
steam heater thereby minimising onboard pipe modifications.
Alternatively a standard steam heating coil with condensate
drain can be provided.
