Due to more stringent monitoring of overboard discharges
from vessels throughout the world, it has been found that
existing bilge water systems are struggling to
cope.
The water washing of economisers
is adding to this problem in the majority of situation
the existing water wash collecting tanks are insufficient in size.
We therefore offer a solution by
the retrofitting of additional collecting tanks that can be lower in
through the engine room hatch and be installed during a
voyage.
Our current tank design is
circular with capacities of 3.6 and 5 cubic metres,
manufactured from carbon steel with a glass flaked lining to
protect it from the acidic solution.
With both level indication
and internal spray bar the collected water can be treated
before being passed through the overboard discharge system.
